Julien was born in 1980 and spent the first few years of her life traveling through America with her family. She was raised in Dallas, TX. Her father, a prolific novelist, and poet taught her to write as a very small child. She writes dark, thrilling, fantastic tales of mortal battles and daring exploits as the author of the Chronicles of Lashai. She also teaches a creative writing course at Reclaim Arts. She lives with her husband and five children in Marble Falls, TX.
